I only have a couple of hours before I head back to NYC. Instead of heading back down to the beach, I crossed the street and took in the cliffs.
The cliffs are all carved out of coral and every resort and hotel along the jagged coast of The West End has a ladder down to the water. Like the beach, the water is every shade of blue and crystal clear. Unfortunately, this morning the sea is a little too rough for me to venture in. I wonder if the water is always like that along the cliffs or if it ever calms like it is along the slim, seven-mile beach.
On the water, I feel the allure of Jamaica.
